October Giveaway! Give Plastic the BoOoOoot!

Happy October! It's a beautiful month in the Driftless, what with the leaves turning color, the pumpkin patches open, and a lovely crisp in the air! (Well, hold out on that last one. We're sure the weather will fall in line eventually.) Many of us are busy transitioning into fall now as we finish our preserving, decorate with pumpkins and mums, and get ready for Halloween at the end of the month.

It's the spookiest time of the year, but you don't have to be afraid of unwanted plastics! While it's easy to vilify plastic straws and bags as obvious unnecessary plastic, others can be overlooked. Paper towels, tissues, and toilet paper often come in plastic packaging which immediately gets thrown in the garbage. Scary!

Companies like Who Gives A Crap and Reel offer a plastic-free alternative. They send their products straight to your door without any plastic waste! And it doesn't stop there--both companies use a portion of their profits to aid the 892 million people in the world who don't have access to proper sanitation. You can read more about what they do on their websites.

So to get you excited about these everyday alternatives, and in the spirit of spooky season, we're happy to host an October giveaway! Give plastic the boOoOot by entering to win a sample package of Who Gives A Crap products!

Entering is easy: just sign up for our newsletter during the month of October, and you'll automatically be entered into the drawing! If you already receive our newsletter, you can get a bonus entry by sharing our giveaway announcement on Facebook, Instagram, or both for two bonus entries! (That's a total of 3 entries if you sign up for the newsletter and share it on both Instagram and Facebook.) If you win, you'll get an email notification from us.

(Psst! Don't throw away those pretty wrappings! They can be used to wrap gifts, pad packages in the mail, or stuff gift bags!)
